Descrição
A curved and sandy beach with rocks on both sides, a pinegrove that surrounds the beach and views of San Antonio and a promontory known as Cap Nono. The not very deep, calm and transparent waters make it ideal for families with children. Also you can practise aquatic sports. At the beginning of the beach, at right hand, you'll find a small natural swimming pool surrounded by rocks, where you can enjoy jumping off into the crystal clear water.
Tip: walk through the pine trees to the mid right of the beach and follow the track away form the beach. After 5 minutes you will come out on to rocks over looking the island of Conejera and an old watch tower that you can walk to. Alternatively scramble up through the woodland at the side of the cafe bar where the ferry boats dock, walk to the right for about 3 minutes and you'll come across the Hermit's Garden full of religous creations.
Services: 2 bars and 2 restaurants located at the rear part of the beach. Baths and wardrobes are available near the bars.
Getting there: Cala Bassa is accessible by car following the signs on the road of Sant Antoni to Sant Josep. Good parking. Or take the ferry from Sant Antoni, only 15 minutes with regular service during the summer. It is also possible to take the regular line of buses that goes out from the bus stop of San Antonio.
